Traces

Installation, 2006 - Present

In Traces, crosses and small shrines bridge life / death, public / private, and commemorate lives both remembered and forgotten. Intrigued by the things people have left at the death sites of loved ones, I began photographing roadside crosses in 2006. With more than three hundred photographs in my collection, I continue to seek the traces of a now absent subject and the memories they have left behind.
